About

Mark J. Miceli, Ed.D., Clinical Social Worker
about me
Hi, I'm Mark - and I'm really glad you're here.

I know firsthand how it feels to carry quiet stress, anxiety, grief, or trauma, even when it looks like you've got it all together on the outside. So many of us experience this - which is why reaching out for support is one of the bravest things we can do.

In working with professionals and LGBTQ+ adults, what we'll do in therapy together is rooted not just in my professional training but in my real-world experiences as well. Therapy needs to feel like a safe, compassionate space where you can show up as your full self — messy, strong, curious, uncertain. We do this work together so you feel truly comfortable to explore.

I love helping people grow in ways that feel authentic, empowered, and deeply human. After all, without our humanity, who are we? I'm a husband, brother, son, uncle, and a former (very proud!) dog dad, and licensed clinical social worker. Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 20 years in higher education — work that deepened my passion for building growth, resilience, and meaningful connections with others. Now, I bring that same heart into the therapy space, focusing on building a strong connection with you.

Whether you're navigating change, healing from something painful, or trying to reconnect with who you are, I'm here to walk with you. Let’s take this next step together — with warmth, honesty, and care.
